Nowsy
9/30/2006

Nowsy is an information and news dashboard. On Nowsy you select the feeds from the list that is provided or you can enter a feed URL that is not in the list and each feed shows up in a feedbox. You can also drag and drop the boxes in the position you like. I've seen some other sites that do this but in my opinion I think Nowsy is the best.

Newshutch
9/24/2006

Recently I've tried many feed readers and just wasn't happy with any of them but I just came across this feed reader called Newshutch. I think Newshutch is the best and simplest feed reader out there. Newshutch is very clean and simple to use. You create folders to put your feeds into so you can categorize your feeds. Also if you've already used a newsfeed aggregator before you can import your existing list of feeds. You can install the browser buttons to easily add feeds to Newshutch. Check out some other features and screenshots here. So if you have never used a feed reader or you're not satisfied with the one you currently use I would definitely check out Newshutch.
Weebly
9/23/2006

Weebly is a service that helps you create websites for free very easily. Currently Weebly is in beta but I can already tell it's probably the best free website creator I've seen. You can view a screencast of the service in action here. "Weebly is the easiest way to create, upload a website, and share it with the world for free. From personal to professional sites, Weebly will enable you to spend your time on the most valuable part of your site, its content."

9/17/2006
Okay so here in this picture it seems like GameStop will force you to trade in $50 worth of trade-ins to reserve a PS3 or Wii. In trade-ins that's a lot because as you probably know you hardly get much at all for them. This isn't confirmed yet but it seems likely that it's true. We'll see Monday as the posters should go up then.iKaraoke by Griffin technology

9/14/2006

Today Microsoft revealed the Zune as expected, we now have more details and pictures. The Zune has 30Gb of HDD, WiFi, 3-inch screen, built in FM tuner, picture and video playback. A really neat feature of the Zune is that you can wirelessly share a music track with a friend that also has a Zune and over a 3 day period they can listen to that track 3 times. If you ask me I think this is a very good idea on Microsoft's part. You can also share pictures, playlists, and recordings. The Zune comes in black, white, and brown which is supposed to be available this holiday season.

9/12/2006

Today at Apple's It's Showtime event, Apple revealed quite a bit of new stuff. To start off I'll talk a little about the 5.5 gen. iPod. The new iPod looks basically the same but it has a 60% brighter screen. The iPod also has longer battery life and new headphones. It will have gapless playback (which I think goes for all iPods as an update) and even text based search I'm really not to sure how this function works yet.
iTunes 7 is now available and you can download full length movies such as Pirates of the
Caribbean, The Incredibles, Flightplan, and many more. And get this, on the 5.5 gen. iPod you can now download games at $4.99 each such as Pac-man, Tetris, Bejeweled, and more. There are many other new things in iTunes 7 so got to the iTunes 7 overview page for more info.Linkachi

YouTube on your iPod for free
9/09/2006

With these two freeware programs one for Mac and one for Windows you can easily get YouTube videos on to your iPod. The Windows version is called iTube and the Mac version is PodTube. In iTube (Windows) you paste the video URL into iTube and it then downloads the video, converts it, and adds it to your iTunes library. In PodTube (Mac) you must browse in Safari and one click will download the video, convert it, and add to your iTunes library as well. Both of these are very easy to use and also very helpful when you want to get a YouTube video on your iPod without any hassle.

9/05/2006
Earlier I talked about Social Meter a little bit in a post. "Social meter scans the major social websites to analyze a webpage's social popularity." Well someone recently commented on that post and notified me that Social Meter is now for sale on eBay (thanks!). Currently there aren't any bids and starting bid is $425.00 US.For Dummies Book Cover Maker

Okay today I came across this "For Dummies" book cover generator. The one I made is on the left. You chose what text you want to be displayed in the sub title, main title, book description, comic bubble, book name, and edition name. You can also choose how the pizza head guy looks too. It's pretty cool and if you change the book title to dummies it looks exactly like a "For Dummies" book.
BlogMusik
9/03/2006
With BlogMusik you can listen to online music on demand. You just type in a band name or song name in the iPod like player to search for music and then you click what you want it to play on the right. You don't have to sign up but if you want to make playlists you have to register but it takes less than a minute and you don't have to confirm an email or anything like that. Overall it's a pretty nice service but it's still in beta so it has some bugs. I'm a bit confused why it's call BlogMusik though.SafePasswd
9/02/2006
With SafePasswd you can create a really great password. The user puts in how long they'd like their password to be and what type. They also let you select if you would like there to be case variation in your password. After you enter in those things it gives you a randomly generated password perfect for such things as encryption.Browzar
9/01/2006

Update:
Okay I'm sorry for the confusion but I've now figured out that Browzar is trash. The built in search has results that suck and they are paid results. It's really just Internet Explorer and its no safer (see screenshot below). For more info go to the Web3.0log.
Check out this screenshot I took (Click it to enlarge the image, you'll see "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.")
